Most of us take email for granted. It is not something we fully appreciate until we don't have it anymore. If using your own notebook and email client is not an option, the only way to check your personal or business email is via web mail.
So what is WEBMAIL?
“Webmail” is essentially using a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, to access your email account. The advantages of such a system are that you don't need your own computer or a regular email client to check your mail. If you have access to a computer connected to the Internet, you have access to your email. Webmail can be a life saver when you find yourself away from your own computer.
How do I do this?
Clients with email accounts through Easy2usesites KZN can read their e-mail messages by logging into Webmail through their Web browser by using
http://www.yourdomainname.co.za/webmail
Or by logging onto our website
www.easy2usesiteskzn.co.za and clicking onto the webmail link on the home page.
Once you have done that, you will be asked to enter your user name and password. Your user name will always be your full email address and your password is your email password, (if you do not know this, you can call our offices).
You can choose Horde, Round-Cube or Squirrel mail, whichever suits you best. E-mail messages can also be stored and filed on-line through the Webmail interface or brought down to the local computer by using the e-mail client application.
What are the benefits?
Many professionals who travel a great deal are using webmail service as their primary email client.
Now that you know how and why, you may find great use for it and wonder how you did without it all this time.
But be careful!!
When accessing your email from a public computer, you must take care to log out and close the web browser. Failure to do so may allow others to come along and access your email from the same terminal.
